The first step is to create a ticket in our system to gather information about the storage device you seek recovery on. When you create a ticket on our contact page, it will generate a case ID number for you to track the progress of the evaluation and the overall recovery. You may also respond to your ticket with any concerns you have. We receive real-time updates when clients respond to their tickets and make it a priority to respond promptly.
- Drop off or mail your storage device to our NYC office location
Office hours to drop off your storage device are Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Our address is 373 Park Avenue South, 6th Floor New York, NY 10016. You may leave your device with the receptionist on the 6th floor. After we receive your device, an e-mail will be sent to you as a confirmation.
To ship us your device, please follow the detailed packing instructions. This will require Adobe Reader to view this document. If you do not have Adobe Reader, you may download it here.
- Evaluation begins
Once we receive your device, the evaluation begins. Any updates will be documented in your ticket that was initially created for you. You will also receive a phone call as soon as we have any updates.
The evaluation process may take anywhere from 1-3 business days depending on the severity of the failure. For mechanical or physical damage, your drive will be opened in our clean room and evaluated by a data recovery engineer.
- Select a turnaround time
After the evaluation is complete, you will have the option to choose from three different service levels. The pricing varies for each service level.
- Emergency Expedited Service Level
NYC Data Recovery Services offers expedited 24-48 hour turnaround time. This service involves 24/7 work on your drive until we can successfully recover the data. This includes nights and weekends. We understand that in certain cases, retrieving your data in a timely manner is at utmost importance for your business. hence the expedited option.
When you choose this service, our mission is to get your critical data back safely in your hands as fast as possible. These cases take priority over all other data recovery cases in our queue. - Data recovery completion
After the recovery is complete, you will be notified immediately. Your data is extracted to an external hard drive, DVD (if under 10 GB), or provided via secure download on the web (if under 100 MB). We also back up the recovered data to our secure server as a precaution.
Once the entire process is complete, you have the option to pick up the new device or have it shipped to you. To ensure client satisfaction, we keep your original drive until you confirm that all your data was recovered as expected. We can then recycle or send it back to you.
